Cape sailplanes is a subsidiary of R/C DIRECT and was started inSouth Africa a wide range of quality gliders and accessories at affordable prices.
Cape sailplanes are the sole agents for AMD, Xiamen Aero and Canterbury Sailplanes in South Africa. We are also now the agents for Ohmark and Intricode who are producers of quality electronic accessories. Our products are accessible to everyone in S.A. and we offer a direct mail service for those living in outlying areas or, in regions where we do not have dealers. We have been pleased to hear from our neighbours various African countries, and are pleased to report that rc gliding is alive in Africa.
Cape sailplanes is headed by Mark Williams, who has been a keen modeller for the past 17 years, and recently dumped his heavy flight box in the sea to concentrate on gliding!
Mark is also a keen private pilot so if your order is big enough, he might deliver it personally in the Piper Warrior!
We also Export and would love to exrort more local kits and RC related products; so local dealers and manafacturers are invited to contact Mark if they have a kit or R/C product that they would like to add to the Cape sailplanes catalogue.
